Since its founding in 2020, Innovation Talent Academy (ITA) has made remarkable strides in empowering marginalized youth, particularly within the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement. ITA’s holistic approach to education, vocational training, and community empowerment has transformed lives and created sustainable opportunities.
Youth Empowered
184 individuals trained, acquiring practical skills in handcraft, tailoring, and languages.
These programs have equipped participants with the tools to build sustainable livelihoods.
Handcraft Training Program
37 women trained, resulting in several launching their own businesses.
Tailoring Training Program:
15 women trained, of which 5 established successful tailoring businesses.
Language Training Program:
132 youth trained in English, Swahili, and French.
Outcomes:
Some trainees became trainers, passing on their knowledge.
Others secured employment locally and abroad.
Many express gratitude for ITA’s role in transforming their futures.

YIDA: Supported handcraft training in 2023–2024.
OXFAM: Provided sewing and vocational training in 2020, further strengthening livelihood opportunities.
