At Innovation Talent Academy (ITA), we believe every young person deserves the chance to thrive—no matter where they come from.
Founded by refugees who understand the struggles firsthand, ITA is a nonprofit organization on a mission to empower marginalized youth and uplift entire communities. Whether it’s a young refugee with a dream, a single mother trying to rebuild, or a person with a disability seeking opportunity, we’re here to walk alongside them.
We know that real change begins with the right tools and support. That’s why we focus on vocational training, education, and entrepreneurship—because these aren’t just programs, they’re lifelines. From tailoring and computer skills to handicrafts and business mentorship, we provide hands-on learning that opens doors to independence and dignity.
Our education support makes sure no one is left behind. With scholarships and access to learning resources, we help young people stay in school and unlock their potential. And through our entrepreneurship programs, we guide youth to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses, helping them create not just jobs, but futures.
Inclusivity is at the heart of everything we do. We welcome refugees, youth with disabilities, single mothers, and any young person ready to step forward. At ITA, they don’t just find training—they find community, encouragement, and the belief that they matter.
Since 2020, we’ve helped hundreds of young people build better lives. But we’re just getting started. With every skill taught and every life changed, we’re building a world where youth are not just surviving—but thriving.
At ITA, we imagine a world where every young person—especially those who’ve faced hardship—has the chance to build a better future.
Our vision is to become a leading nonprofit that brings hope, support, and real opportunities to marginalized youth.
We want to see young refugees, single mothers, and youth with disabilities confidently building their own businesses and shaping their lives through the skills they gain with us.
We’re here to empower.
ITA’s mission is to support young refugees, people with disabilities, single mothers, and other underserved youth by providing practical skills, education, and the guidance they need to succeed.
Through hands-on training in areas like tailoring, IT, and entrepreneurship, we help youth take control of their future.
By creating an inclusive, caring environment, we aim to build a strong community of young people who believe in themselves—and are ready to make a difference in the world.

Innovation Talent Academy (ITA)
Delphin Buyana is a young leader, visionary entrepreneur, and passionate change-maker. Born in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Delphin’s life was changed by conflict, forcing him to seek safety in Uganda as a refugee.

His entrepreneurship journey began after completing his studies at Social Innovation Academy (SINA), IDEA4AFRICA, and YIDA, where he gained skills, confidence, and a strong desire to uplift others. He also volunteered with Arise Youth Foundation (AYF), giving back to his community and supporting youth.
With a heart full of vision, Delphin founded Innovation Talent Academy (ITA)—a project that empowers refugee youth and marginalized communities through education, skills training, and entrepreneurship.
In October 2024, Delphin moved to Canada, where he continues to grow his dream of helping displaced people around the world rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
